Proteksi petir terdiri dari proteksi eksternal dan internal. Proteksi petir eksternal terdiri dari air terminal ESE ZEUS, cable down conductor dan grounding. Peran equipotential grounding atau penyama tegangan dalam sistem proteksi petir penting untuk menghindari beda tegangan yang akan menimbulkan loupe dan terjadi kerusakan di peralatan.
